A crushing sludge metal record with a side dish of post-metal that excels in great riffs. It is not marred by its avg. song length of 11 minutes and does well to justify it. Wouldn't be ashamed to call it AOTY material for sure.
Favorite track: Towers.

While I had hear of Elder, I've never heard their material until very recently. All I can say is "Wow!" I love their Pink Floyd-meets-Black Sabbath style. It's doomy, heavy and yet progressive and beautiful all at the same time. Great, great album. MetalMike
